S5 North Europe announced today that it has reached an agreement on the ownership of 100% of the shares of Jardine Shipping Services from Jardine Pacific, a member of the Jardine Matheson Group. It marks a major milestone in S5’s strategy to create the leading ship services company in the world.
Jardine Shipping Services is a market leader in shipping agencies in the Asia Pacific region. It offers a comprehensive range of port agency and liner agency services, working out of 52 port offices covering some 200 major ports in Asia. Both S5 North Europe and Jardine Shipping Services are shareholders of S5 Agency World, the fastest growing port agency organization in the world, offering her customers a wide scale of services with a second-to-none service. In total, S5 has more than 300 port offices.

The transaction is expected to close in summer 2015.
