Over 350 top representatives from Unilever's strategic supplier partners recently gathered at the 'Partner to Win' Supplier Summit in Singapore to discuss global sustainable growth and unlock the potential of developing and emerging markets.
Maersk Line was recognised by Unilever for delivering outstanding service with an emphasis on innovation, driving best practice and continuously improving service levels.
Addressing delegates, Pier Luigi Sigismondi, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Unilever said: "Our business has grown by €10 billion since 2009 despite the challenging economic conditions. This has been made possible through the investment our strategic supplier partners have made in increased capacity, innovation delivery and sustainable solutions together with Unilever."

Captain Phillips movie to open London Film Festival
'Captain Phillips' movie, starring Tom Hanks, is the true story of MV Maersk Alabama hijacking
London festival organizers have announced that this year's opening night will take place on Wednesday 9 October at the Odeon Leicester Square, with the European Premiere of Sony Pictures' Captain Phillips. The 57th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express runs from Wednesday 9 October-Sunday 20 October.
"Captain Phillips" is based on the true story of Richard Phillips, commanding officer of the Maersk Alabama, a container ship that was hijacked by Somali pirates in 2009.
The movie is directed by acclaimed Academy Award nominee Paul Greengrass (United 93, The Bourne Supremacy) and stars two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump, Philadelphia), both of whom are expected to attend the Festival.
