Bad weather is hampering bunkering activities in the Russian Baltic port of St Petersburg as ships remain at anchorage unable to enter the port, market sources said.
“Ships are stuck outside the port awaiting permission to enter,” said one source. Although there are some enquiries for low sulfur marine gasoil in the market, there are few for bunker fuel right now, the source said.
The bad weather, which started yesterday, is expected to last until the end of the week, sources say.
S&P Global Platts assessed 380 CST fuel oil in St Petersburg at $172.50/mt Tuesday.
